The Pluto People [Part 2]

Image
Part 1 of the "Pluto People"  http://bit.ly/qImWAE Beginning now, Part 2 Perhaps one can however set forth a positive agenda for happiness carrying it out stage by stage. Carrying out a plan designed for happiness even writing it down with the simple steps of 1,2,3 and proceeding to carry each out with little or no emotion will move one into a positive place of peace. Yes it might be considered impossible to "get over things" but one can most certainly "get on with it". I firmly believe there are mental states one can create that can work to alleviate the suffering of many dear folk. We can think of the great grief experienced with the loss of a loved one perhaps the greatest difficulty of all. What could be said or thought of to keep one's life from pining away in grief? I recall one particular approach in addressing the issue I considered truly inspired. The grieving one would ask themselves the simple question... If their departed loved ...

The Pluto People [Part 1]

Lonely, separated and disconnected with normal people in the real world.  Feeling wiped out, set back and removed.  Does anything matter anymore and will the sunshine of joy, happiness and peace ever find my way again?  No I'm not writing concerning my own present experience but having lived in this world some 54 years, I like everyone have seen my share of problems and difficulties, minor and major. Catastrophic problems? I'd say a couple of times with the loss of my father and father-in-law  dying  many years back within a short time of each other. Outside of that I wouldn't consider  my problems as having been too severe.  Others may not have been near as fortunate. Life may have dealt you a hand you consider most unbearable. It may be the loss of a loved one or perhaps something different like the loss of a career. Your doctor may have just informed you of some very disturbing news concerning a medical condition and the prognosis...

Overcoming The Fear of Plagiarism

Image
Can a writer ever feel a sense of peace that their work will never be stolen?  Recently I've read articles which seem to make light of new inexperienced writers concerned about their work being plagiarized. Some even marvel at the very thought of how new writers could be so naive as to think that they've brought forth and created some new original idea noting that multiple numbers of scripts come across their desks which are similar. What's the truth concerning this issue?  Are upstart writers being extreme walking in paranoia in regard to sharing their ideas with the concerns of its being stolen? You could say that I'm writing this to myself as well by asking all many various questions to get a sense of what course of action should be taken--to withhold creative work or not to withhold---that is the question.  Quite frankly I've heard interesting arguments from both sides and see no valid reason to suggest that there isn't.  First, is it true tha...

The Story And Not The Tricks!

Image
Many movie producers of yesteryear can teach their present counterparts a thing or two concerning the art of good story telling. They knew the ultimate issue was to tell an entertaining story and were light on the tricks in doing so. Not so today.  We have special effects galore.  Don't misunderstand me I'm not opposed to the sensational advancements that's  achieved in filmology   but I would however strongly suggest an unwise degree of the use of such  can perhaps be counter-productive--to the end-- the story takes the back seat. The special effects....the props and the great many visual supports portray in as real way as possible how something in reality would appear. I'd question it's importance yes even in regard to films  meant to be visually exciting. While a certain measure of graphic imagery can be fine at what point does it become rather a distraction--or can it ever be said to be that at all? I'd say yes in the affirmative. Special effects de...

Mystery Lights In The Sky Pt 3

So...perhaps interesting mysterious things do take place. Acknowledging the possibility of such we're left with what conclusion? Is it that we're not alone that life must have came from other worlds?  Reading after many who are into ufology   that seems to be the usual conclusion  drawn. Quite interesting that a different  approach was put forth in Jacques Vallee's book,  ' Passport to Magonia : From Folklore to Flying Saucer'. It was stated  by VallĂ©e, who was very much considered  one of the top  leaders in the study of UFO's and was considered the real-life model for one of the characters in Spielberg's, 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' that UFO phenomena seemed to follow along the lines and pattern of supernatural manifestations of angels , ghosts and psychic phenomena.    To put it another way he felt the assumptions that many ufologists were making had need to be d...

Mystery Lights In The Sky Pt 2

Continuation Of Mystery Lights In the Sky Secondly, lets add, multiple witnesses especially of the type who are known to demonstrate rational reasonable thinking. True that sounds condescending  but it's how the real world functions. Do  the individuals claiming to have seen or experienced a certain phenomenon have a reputation and a track record for not being given over to excesses?  To be even more clear if you're claiming you've seen a UFO and you happen to attend one of the Star Trek conventions dressed  as Worf   dont' be surprised if your testimony would be discredited as invalid due to your being extreme.   Keep in mind that sure does look like a large walnut on Worf's head so how could you blame folk for thinking you a nut. So multiple witnesses, but of the type not given over to excesses, professionals such as police officers would add to the believability factor as well. Ask yourself how many police officers...

Mysterious Lights In The Sky Pt 1

Mystery lights in the sky?  Yes just another way of saying UFO's or unidentified flying objects. I pondered as to whether I should even blog on it. It seems the mere mention of the theme produces snears from the great many high and mighty intellectual elites, the so called guardians over that which is to be considered reasonable thought. I recall in the last US Presidential campaign, U.S. House Representative,  Dennis Kucinich saw his political ambitions thwarted in a television debate by merely acknowledging that he thought he saw a UFO.  One might ask why should another be so marginalized merely for claiming they saw what they believed was something peculiar? Could the sad truth really be that it's a cheap political ploy designed to split a political contenders support--make him acknowledge his experience of such and you marginalize him as mentally deficient?  As for me I have to acknowledge that I've never seen a UFO so maybe I'm safe from ...
