Welcome to this session.

It's called "The Sower Sows the Word." Jesus talked about it in Mark 4, and it's found in the other gospels as well. I would say it is perhaps one of the most crucial Bible teachings Jesus ever gave when it comes to the sower sows the word. And why do I say that? I say that because Jesus said that the whole kingdom of God—all of it—is like a man who casts seed into the ground (Mark 4:26). He also said in Mark 4:13, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand any of the parables?" In other words, what he's saying is that this is the granddaddy of them all. This is the mother lode. If you think of how miners talk, like you mine in the ground, this is like the mother lode, the main vein. What they're referring to is this is the most significant place where you'll find what you're looking for or how to apply things.

Now, the Bible says that without being born again—even, I mean, it says you cannot enter the kingdom of God—but it also says so in 1 Peter 1:23 that we are born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed, which is the word of God. Notice the seed when it comes to salvation.

Now, I want to give you a word of caution here. Uh, don't make the mistake of thinking that you don't need the word of God. You know, I've actually heard some say, "Uh, I'm not really into Bible teaching. I just like praise and worship. That's all I like." And no, it's okay to like and love praise and worship—I do too, I sincerely do—it brings the presence of God, brings the peace of God. But it's also good and essential—absolutely essential—to love and like the word of God. It's of equal importance.

Here's an illustration. Imagine a person talking about their flowers in a garden: "I'm going to make sure that they get lots of sunshine, but I'm not really into water. I'm not really into watering my flowers. You know, I'm not a water person." Of course, you know, that sounds silly. We know they really need both, or else they'll wither and die.

So, without both, when the storms and trials of life come, if we don't have both, we'll find that we've built our life on the sand and not on the rock, which is the word of God—and I'll add on there, being a doer of the word of God as well.

But back to "The Sower Sows the Word." God's words are seeds.
Everybody say after me: "God's words are seeds."

And I want to quote to you from the scripture, where it says that the "exceeding great and precious promises of God"—you know, and that's—that they are given, the exceeding great and precious promises of God are given and provided to be meditated upon, continually sought upon, dwelt upon, until the truth of them becomes totally ingrained and entrenched in one's thinking.

Right? When we do that, when we allow our spirits to be saturated with God's promises, His word, you are—in effect—planting or sowing God's word, or God's seed (or seeds, plural), into your spirit and mind by your diligent meditation. Your victory is found in the seed.

Everybody say after me: "My victory is found in the seed."

Even being born again, as we said—becoming saved is through the incorruptible seed that He's provided.

Now, getting back to the first thing—one should do, when a trial or difficulty comes into their life, is find out and do a search about what God says about that situation—whatever you're in. And when you do find it out, then you have God's seed or seeds on the matter. Plant those continually within your spirit and mind—again, by meditation and declaring and decreeing that you have what God says you have, and the victory will begin to come out of the seed.

Again, I'll say that: the victory will come out of the seed, which is the victory coming out of God, because God and His word are one.

We'll pick this up in another session. I trust and hope that you'll stay with us. I believe you'll find this whole series very encouraging. Thank you.
